BaggioAdopted.jpg (20609 bytes) Theresa and Mike and their kids, Nicole and Alexis, had a difficult year.  They lost both of their greyhounds, and their house was very empty. They wanted a big boy, to help fill that emptiness, so we stole the biggest boy we could find, Baggio, from Recycled Racers.  (Thanks, Sandy!)  Baggio immediately bonded with all of them, and Christmas was probably very good for all five of them!

DwizzleAdopted.jpg (16428 bytes)
There was a lonely Greyhound named Sam.  Sam is originally from Ireland, and now lives in Colorado Springs with his parents, Angela and Jeff.  Sam brought his parents out to the kennel to look for a friend, and adopted Dwizzle!  Congrats to you all! (Dwizzle's the little one.)

CletusAdopted.jpg (21127 bytes)
Grant and his family have been looking for the perfect dog for a long time.  One Saturday, Grant and daughter, Kirstin, came to help paint, and found what they had been searching for: Cletus!

MeadowAdopted.jpg (26548 bytes)
Not a new adoption, but a very special one!  Meadow brought her dad, Steve, back to visit!  Meadow was one of our kennel favorites, and letting her go to Wyoming was hard, but she looks pretty happy to us.

AerostarCasperAdopted.jpg (34542 bytes) This isn't a new adoption, but Aerostar and Casper have been bringing Pat and Denny out to the kennel to play!

JackAdopted.jpg (19928 bytes) Melissa and Steve fell in love with Jack, and who could blame them?

KatAdopted.jpg (20789 bytes) Pat and Jack Mertz drove all the way to our kennel from Sidney, Nebraska, to find Kat waiting for them!

kathleen&scar3.jpg (20316 bytes) We didn't get a picture of Scar and his new family before he went home, so Rosemary and Dean sent this picture of Scar and Kathleen.  Scar appears to have settled into the family nicely! And he seems to have found his niche in retirement. Now if his new family will just come up with a new name for this sweet boy!

KipperAdopted.jpg (63125 bytes) On the way to his new home, Kipper earned a new name: Trouble. While Steve and Eileen were inside paying for gas he managed to lock the doors and set off the alarm--and appeared quite pleased with himself. Fortunately, Steve had the keys. Then, at the pet store, he got caught shoplifting pig ears! It sounds like the new name will stick. Click on the picture and check out the glint in this boy's eyes.

EYandfamily.jpg (39791 bytes) We have some of the best surprises on Saturdays!  EY, one of Torri's "kids," brought his dad Roger out to see us.  EY looks great, and he is obviously very much loved.

KathleenScarWilson.jpg (45116 bytes) Scar, at age 2, was having problems being alone during the day.  So his new parents, Dean and Rosie, came out to let Scar pick a friend and he chose Wilson.  Here Scar, Wilson and their human sister, Kathleen, pose in their back yard.

ruthie_smilesm.jpg (26801 bytes) Gretchen and family adopted Pat C Dr. Ruth, now known as Ruthie, and it looks like she has settled in quite well.  Gretchen says, "We've had her for over a year now, and she's definitely family!"

JustCute.jpg (22297 bytes) Usually what we show on this page are considered "happy endings" but this one is more like a beginning. This is the Gleims' grandson, Brandon, with a two-week old puppy. It's hard to say which one's cuter or, for that matter, which seems more at home in the whelping box. And just think, in a year that puppy will probably be bigger than Brandon and in two years, who knows? Maybe setting new track records.

Meadow_Dariussm.jpg (30759 bytes) Here are Meadow (Prima Meadow) and Darius (Buy Me That) posing at the RMGA party that was held a couple of years ago. They certainly make a handsome couple.

Buddiessm.jpg (21125 bytes) Sabrina has had Dana, formerly Pat C Banter, for about 3 years now. Dana is a lot more patient with the new kitten than anyone else in the family. Sabrina calls them "Un Perro de Dios y Gato diablo!" (Dog of God and Devil cat).  Dana's gorgeous! Babette is pretty cute too - as far as devils go.

BESTHPYHNDSsm.jpg (34072 bytes)
Steve and Melissa adopted Troubles, now Khepri to keep Heru (formerly Jack) company.  We're pleased to hear that she fit in beautifully with the family right away and became fully grooved into the "routine" immediately.

bobbyrita.jpg (34123 bytes) JoAnn and Armin adopted Bobby (red fawn) as a six week old puppy; he's about 14 months old here. He loves to play Frisbee and dig holes -- never a dull moment with a greyhound puppy! Bobby (middle name TROUBLE) is posing here with his housemate, Rita, a five year old adopted from Colorado Greyhound Adoption. She likes to eat, sleep and give kisses, more like what most of us are used to.

bobbysandal.jpg (31342 bytes) Okay, our webmaster LOVES puppies. So here's Bobby at eight months.

Buddyandfamily.jpg (42541 bytes) Buddy brought his people, Tim and Sharon Withers, out to see our new kennel.
Buddy looks great, and we suspect he has Tim and Sharon well-trained!

Tasha & Macey Here's  Tasha (formerly Donna) with her beagle sister Macey and mommy Jackie at the Furry Friends Festival in Longmont. Macey adopted Tasha in late April 2002. Everybody looks very happy but Macey looks like she wants to bag the photo session and go do something fun!

GomerRobinLuis.jpg (40119 bytes) Robin and Luis came by the kennel, and Gomer capture their hearts!  Gomer has been so depressed being back at the kennel.  He was so excited to pick out his humans and be able to go home!

JanetteBudDanielle.jpg (56058 bytes) Janette has been volunteering with RMGA for a few months now, and she always said she was waiting for the right Greyhound to come along.  It looks like Danielle has captured Janette's heart, and Bud's!

JannSeven.jpg (36410 bytes) Jann came to the kennel to find a girl Greyhound friend for her two female dogs, Ripley and Katie.  Gee, looks like our handsome guy Seven had different ideas!

Escape.jpg (57006 bytes) Greyhound owner Tim Shaw sent Sharon and her family to take him this beautiful boy.  Escape will be very happy with his new friends!

Train&Family.jpg (29477 bytes) We knew Train wouldn't be around long!  It was love at first sight, and it
was all over!

Cletus.jpg (40776 bytes) Here's Cletus in his Harley hat and T-Shirt, thanks to Pam and Bryce. He looks like he's ready to go cruising.

sassy_adopted.jpg (26141 bytes) Bill and Kathy brought out their kids to pick out a new friend.  Sassy was a little overwhelmed, but they all look so good together!

LittleGuy2.jpg (16996 bytes) Mike and Brenda adopted Little Guy. He's getting along very well. He was shy at first, but he's coming out of  his shell. He loves running in the yard, and is tolerant of the "uncouth" neighbor dogs. Here's a picture of us at Christmas.

chris and pluto.jpg (62010 bytes) This note is long overdue, but we just wanted to write and thank you for our wonderful new friend.  Pluto has changed so much since July, he has developed quite the personality and is such a character.  He enjoys long runs with Chris and sleepy days at home with Kelli.  He also enjoys playing with all his toys, especially the squeaky ones, we find them all over.  He is working on a new friendship with his two chihuahua cousins.  We wish you the best of luck in 2003 and we will see you soon.

Christopher and Kelli Trujillo

Deon and Family 2.jpg (89560 bytes) I thought I would drop a note and send a pic of Deon and how he is doing. When we first got him, he was very apprehensive about coming up to us and being by our side - but after awhile he grew to trust us. We later took him to obedience school where he can now 'sit' and 'down' and 'come' when called. The trainer said that he was the fastest greyhound learner that she has seen (I think she was just saying that.)  We have taken him up to Estes Park and let him run around the dog park up there, but then we found one a lot closer (100th & Sims) and now we try to take him everyday. Once we get back though, he sleeps until he has to go to bed.
We just got back from a long road trip to Kansas City and Deon loved every bit of it, although he didn't see much of the road from sleeping the whole time; just as well, he really didn't miss anything either. ;)
Joe and Jenni (And Deon!)

Claire and Family.jpg (36852 bytes) This is Claire Buttke and her new mom and dad.

Emmy Doc Cookie Osborn.jpg (52509 bytes) Emmy Osborn with her two new buddies, Doc and Cookie. She should keep them in good shape!

Patch Kotula.jpg (42838 bytes) Patch Kotula. A puppy needs a couple kids!

Spanky and the Lawsons.jpg (38325 bytes) Spanky Lawson with his new family. Again, a puppy and two energetic kids. A good match.

Bojack Angela Jeff Tinney.jpg (29935 bytes) Bojack, with his mom Angela and dad, Jeff Tinney. Jeff and Angela look like they just won the lottery!

Scorpionand Family.jpg (51032 bytes) Scorpion found his family, and he even has a human puppy to play with!

SkitsoandFamily.jpg (43672 bytes) Skitso found the best family!  He was chosen by this cute little Boston Terrier and her family!

Kaylas birthday.jpg (95489 bytes) What better gift for  a greyhound for her birthday than going to her very
own home?  Here is Kayla, who found her family and did just that: Went home on her 2nd birthday!

Drew and Mom.jpg (56792 bytes) Drew and his new mom!

levi.jpg (64277 bytes) I figured I would send you pics of WW Bo's Jury. I changed his name to LEVI shortly after I got him from you. He is wonderful, and loves his new backyard. He's been with me since last Labor Day, and has changed dramatically in to a wonderful companion. He's good, lovable, friendly, loves kids, loves people and the attention he gets, and is fascinated by the fish in my KOI pond (and Jeremiah the bullfrog)….
Adrian

Taylee and Family.jpg (83898 bytes) Taylee found her dream family!  We're sure she's absorbing love and
affection from her new mom and dad 24 hours a day!

Bennyat Harleys1.jpg (29716 bytes) We were so worried about Benehana after he was returned.  He was so upset about losing his home. It looks like our worries were needless, if this
picture means anything! (That's Benny on the right with his butt closest to the fire.)

Rootbeer.jpg (40622 bytes) Dinger, our "Old Man" return and his new brother, Rootbeer (the puppy) with their new family.
